There is nothing like a countdown timer to build anticipation and by the way don’t worry this isn’t another daily deals website but rather a niche advertising website and magazine.

We have recently done some work for Di Smith, she is an author and has just self-published her first book “You’re Awesome”. It gives simple but powerful lessons into a fulfilled life. We have helped in rebranding her Facebook Page by creating a new look and feel and with the creation of multiple applications serving as tabs with more information on them. We created a landing page that reveals different content when a Facebook user “Likes” page. Below is a screencast just taking you through in more detail the work we have done.

Well it’s the 1st of June and today Smashing Web Development is celebrating it’s first birthday. It’s a proud moment for both myself and Quin.

Wow what a ride, it’s been the most amazing experience and we have both learnt so much not just about website design and development but also about business.

We couldn’t have done it without our wonderful clients, someone needs to pay the bills. We have created 9 websites so far and are working on our 10th and 11th. You can see the 9 in our portfolio.

Wesley Methodist Church

We loved creating this advanced website that has 3 main content areas. WMC required resources, sermons and news pages and they needed the power to be able to update these areas by themselves. This is possible with the BlueBox2.0 Content Management System (CMS).

Wesley Methodist Church was founded in 1980 and in based in Pietermaritzburg. They are an active and vibrant church with a variety of ministries taking place. They try to cater for every generation in their community, without marginalising anyone.
